With The Flash movie ending the DCEU, we will slowly be entering the DCU (aka Gunnverse) with Blue Beetle overall officially with Superman: Legacy. As some of you may heard James Gunn announced our new Superman/Clark Kent & Lois Lane actors. I don't understand the Henry Cavill look because it feels like a junk slap to the fan's faces. Looking at how things are right now it looks like they fugged up using a Henry Cavill clone but Gunn has a 10-year plan and wants a younger actor for the years to come. So essentially the DCU sounds like a soft reboot vs an overall reboot.

Even though the DCEU didn't start off as amazing as the MCU it still started off very decently with Man of Steel. WB tried to go too hard, too fast by trying to compete with the MCU. The DCEU had the advantage of easily catching up with the MCU if they stayed on a simple path. When you think superheroes DC comes to mind first because they did it first and has been around in every form of media outside of comics for decades in one way or another and with that, the general public is familiar with the world's greatest superheroes and don't need to waste time with origin stories.

Marvel had to make origin stories and build off their lesser characters because they sold the licenses to all the characters people were familiar with. The only reason Man of Steel was an origin movie was due to legal issues. Making damn near all the DC heroes nonexistent and trying to renege halfway through like here some (referring to the Justice Society). By that point, it was too late for the DCEU because they were trying to beat the MCU to more diversity and female empowerment with successful characters such as Wonder Woman & Harley Quinn. Just when they started making decent content like The Suicide Squad, Peacemaker, & Black Adam starting to get the momentum back up with the return of Henry Cavill. The real fall of the DCEU started when Warner Bros Discovery announced they dropped Henry Cavill and their shared cinematic universe will restart in the vision of James Gunn and Peter Safran. With that being said upcoming films such as Shazam 2 seem pointless because no one wants to invest their time and money in movies that have no future purposes.

Given how The Flash ended and James Gunn pretty much cast a younger-looking Henry Cavill the upcoming DCU looks more like a soft reboot than a full reboot. So with Blue Beetle and Aquaman 2 being the next 2 films and technically part of the DCU now will people be interested in seeing them or will they just wait until Superman: Legacy comes out to invest their time and money? Only time will tell. I'm going to watch them regardless because I want to see superhero movies be successful. If the movie sucks I'll be the first person to say it.

Now that's all said and done let's go through my thoughts and rankings of each DCEU film. F.Y.I. we originally had movie reviews for Batman V Superman all the way to Aquaman but we lost them when our internet host upgraded its server years ago. Click on each photo to read the info.

P.S.- Guardians 3 wasn't that great of a movie. There I said it. It had 2 major plot holes but I blame Disney more so than James Gunn.
