By the Docks is an American classic restaurant in Middle River, MD, that specializes in seafood and has been voted Baltimore's Best Crab Cakes of 2022. Their menu includes various items from baby back ribs, slow-roasted prime ribs, hand-cut steaks, and specialty sauteed dishes (the carrots & zucchini are good) all made from scratch with fresh ingredients.
The crab cakes remind me of crab fluff (minus being deep-fried) where the breading/filler is on the outside and all the crab meat is in the middle instead of your more traditional crab cake where the crab meat and filler are mixed together. It was pretty good and filling. The Pirate's Punch was freaking amazing! It was one of the best tasty beverages I had in a LONG time. Great place to go for a date, especially with Bengies right down the street. By The Docks has great daily specials and I'll be back to check out their Sunday Brunch.
