Seven years after a Kickstarter campaign was launched to develop a feature-length animated film based on Albatross Funnybooks' The Goon, a plan is finally in motion to bring Eric Powell's creation to the big screen.
The team behind the Kickstarter, which includes Academy Award-winning director David Fincher, Blur Studios, Dark Horse Entertainment, and Powell, made the announcement that 20th Century Fox has greenlit the film for production:
A story reel of the film has already been produced, with Clancy Brown and Paul Giamatti voicing the main characters.
